My name is Diane Murray, I have what is called chronic Myofascial pain . I have spent over 20,000 dollars out of pocket, not including what my company benefits have added . All for a little pain relief, no cure. I was referred to the “best specialist” in Ontario. He would walk in never look up , say on a scale 1-10 what is your pain, then stick 25-30 needles of I have no idea what and no explanation and he was gone. 2 years I endured this up close and personal attention. I was desperate my husband suggested trying something like laser . I got on the web and found the Advanced Pain Relief Clinic. They took me in the next day. Dr Moona walked in looked me in the eye, heard my storey , sent me for digital xrays , showed me what was happening to my body (which nobody else ever really did) and told me he can see me walking out of his office pain free. I had suffered with daily, debilitating back pain for over ten years. The pain was constant – it was just a matter of how bad it felt each day. It affected every aspect of my life. On bad days I could not go to work, and on good days the chronic pain made me grumpy and exhausted. It has been about a couple of months since I have started therapy at Kitcheners’ Advanced Pain Relief Clinic. With a welcoming team and environment, I was able to seek help through laser and shockwave therapy to assist with an injured back. It is here, that I met the doctor, Dr. Moona. Unlike most doctors who have you in and out within minutes and that can leave you confused at times, Dr. Moona was the first to take the time to truly investigate what was wrong. Having a background in medical is one thing, but truly being a professional and being passionate about what you do is another thing. That’s exactly what the services are; you can sense the true passion for helping others when he walks into the room. He is literal and explains each situation so that you can completely understand what is wrong, and how they are able to assist you. I have been to my personal doctor prior about my situation and it was shoved off as if it was nothing, and it would heal on its own. The first time I met Dr. Moona he took my x-rays and examined them thoroughly, he came into the room sat down and started drawing out a diagram for me to visually see. Light hearted as he is, he stated that he was able to help and that it would be fixed in no time. It’s thanks to him and his team that I can have my life back, not be in pain, and feel better than I have in months. There is no question that I would and do recommend his services to others who are in the same boat as I was. I’m truly thankful that there are people out there like him who are willing to help, and be good at doing it.

I have been suffering from migraines and epilepsy since childhood. Until now, no practitioner has been able to help me. Medical doctors can only prescribe medication that have horrendous side effects, such as hair loss and facial disfigurement. There’s also no guarantee that I wouldn’t have seizures! Dr. Moona’s slogan is “First We Listen Then We Heal” those words are so true in my situation. Last October, a friend of mine encouraged me to go to Dr. Moona’s because I was having severe pain in the ankle, knee and back to the point I could hardly walk. I went to the clinic and Dr. Moona did listen. He started treating me with low intensity, followed by high intensity laser on my ankle and leg. Prior going to Dr. Moona my family doctor wanted me to see a surgeons that was arranged a couple of years ago. I was trying to avoid surgery because of a somewhat limited success on some patients.
About 3 months after receiving treatment from Dr. Moona I was asked to go for a follow up appointment with the surgeon who I had seen a couple of years ago. After thoroughly checking my ankle and having told him that I had been receiving treatment from Dr. Moona he replied “You don’t need surgery – He has fixed the problem” What a relief.
Now I have no pain in my ankle and knee and has almost got me to the point of no pain in my back.

I had a fall 18 months ago (at home) injuring my wrist, arm and hand, no one has been able to get me past the pain and back to work. I am on long term disability and things were looking pretty grim. My Sister suggested I try Dr. Moona as he helped her and her husband both. I am 3 weeks in on a 8 week treatment plan and I can not believe the difference the laser and shock tx have made for me. I am NOT waking up through the night due to pain and I have stopped all pain medication. I have high hopes to be back to work PAIN FREE. Did I mention I am a Paramedic. 20 years. I went to see this doctor with foot pain, and he immediately diagnosed it as plantar fasciitis. The Doctor was in Waterloo at Advanced Pain Relief, and his name was Dr. Moona. He was very friendly, and I found him to be straightforward. He told me that it would take a bit of time, and that the pain would come and go, and I was skeptical, but once I started, I found that I had some relief, but the more I did, I felt better and better. All of a sudden, I was better, and I remembered the doctor telling me to have patience. He stated it would heal, and it did! I would totally recommend this doctor and his good staff to anyone who has pain. I have referred many others who also have found great relief and gotten good results FOLLOWING the doctors advice. This is not just someone who is looking to make money, when he found out that I was paying out of pocket, he gave me extra time with him, and showed me what to do to prevent future problems. Again, I trust him 100%!

Dr. Moona diagnosed my shoulder subluxation in 2mins, which I was in major pain for 2 months with. I had seen 2 other doctors who just perscribed me with anti-inflamatories and recommended I stop doing everything I love like working out and playing baseball, this was not an option. I was referred to Dr. Moona when my shoulder froze – I was days away from cortisone shots and then a possible operation. He gave 2 consults and after x-rays we started therapy. After a year of therapy I am able to move my arm/shoulder like before. Now I just do maintenance. He is fantastic. Expensive, yes, but well worth the amount paid – he is also very knowledgeable, courtious and friendly. I highly recommend him to anyone. Yes, his methods take time, but remember, it took time for us to get to needing him as well. Be patient, have faith. He is really good, and his staff are great as well. Dr Moona has helped my neck pain like no one else. He identified why my neck kept getting out of place and is working to specifically fix that. I have utilized chiropractors since 1952. Dr. Moona’s use of manipulation, acupuncture and laser has helped me more than anyone else. I would rate him a 5 for knowledge, staff, helpfulness and punctuality. He and his staff don’t waste my time waiting for him to be on time.
I have had problems with my shoulders for many years and after 2 months of laser and shock wave I am now pain free and my mobility is back to normal. I was given very professional care by Dr. “Moona” and his staff and was always treated with kindness and respect.
I am over the moon for moona! I have had severe back pain for many years I was diagnosed with spinal stenosis and generative disc at the age of 22, after a very bad work injury. . I have lost inches in height over the past 7 years. I had to become my own health advocate, over the years the pain increased with each step, I had to leave my chosen profession and was in a dark depression suffering with great pain everyday. My doctors had no idea how to help even after MRIs (3) x-ray (lost count), the part that really hurt is I have two young daughters that I work, breath and live for and I had to spend 18 months in physio and could still not get an understanding of how to help manage the pain. Powerless, was how it all made me feel.. my doctor wanted to put me on more drugs then I would not be able to work or give my girls the active life we thrive to have. I have recently had a relapse in my condition and found out I also have Crohn’s disease as well as ulcers along my stomach lining, I suffered a relapses with my back pain as I mentioned and lost mobility once more. I made a call to Moona’s office in Owen sound, I was in right away and had a place in a room in a speedy fashion. I loved the team work. I saw while there as well as the first name basis everyone was on. When I met Moona the first time he listened to me and my concerns, he explained what I could expect from him and how he planned to help me. I did do the laser treatment a few times it was good to relaxed the tension around the herniated disc my L5, then I had my first adjustment. I had two more adjustments with him when I felt for the first time in seven years waking without pain, feeling that after so long of numbing, biting, burning pain. I will be honest, I cried. I never thought I would feel a day without pain. I mean let’s face it we only get older, and I was told that I would only get worse. Moona has helped me to also understand much of the pain. Today I went in to see him with my yet another xray, we looked at it together. He hid nothing and was explaining why my pain had changed and why I was feeling pain. He was compassionate. He then explained what he would do to get me feeling better again, but also that I will still be a little tender. He helped me to lay on my back, then took my hands over my head, gave a quick moment. Then asked me if we were still friends, I had to giggle. His bedside manner is a delight after being beat down by the hurt. I stood next to the table and then took a step. He was right I was still a bit tender for sure, but I could stand and walk without wincing at each step. I am very pleased I could rely on Moona for my quality of life!
